Below are some of our most Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) about Groove Entertainment. If you have a question that is not on here, please don’t hesitate to e-mail us and we would be happy to answer any question you would have.
Q: Can we pick the styles of music or songs that your acts will play at our event?

A: OF COURSE! We will have a meeting with you to go over the styles of music you prefer to hear at your event. Your Groove Entertainment representative can even make some suggestions as to what music usually gets played during certain parts of your special evening (spotlight dances, dinner, etc.). You and the bandleader will construct a custom play list that the bandleader will choose songs from during your event. Of course we also realize that there may be a wide age range at your event, so we select music that satisfies all tastes.

Q: What if we don’t see a song on the list? Can you learn it for us?

A: ABSOLUTELY. Our song lists are really only samples of our most requested songs. It’s possible that we already know the song you may be requesting. If not, we’d be more than happy to learn selected songs for your event. Just get us a CD of the music about a month before your event, and we will work it into their rehearsal sessions and have it ready to roll out at your event.

Q: Does Groove Entertainment come with a full sound system?

A: YES, all of our acts come equipped with the latest state of the art sound system, all necessary back-ups, and trained operators. Keep in mind we’ve played most of the banquet halls, etc. in the area, so we know from experience the optimum settings to get the best sound in each room.

Q: Will your band play LOUD?

A: NO. Groove is there to help make your night special. We are not there to overpower your guests with excessive volume. We are extremely sensitive to volume concerns, and hardly ever get asked to ‘turn down.’

Q: Will the band members be the same as the ones I met at the showcase?

A: YES! Groove Entertainment only uses set bands made up of professional musicians that rehearse and perform everywhere together. Most of them have been playing together for over 10 years.

Q: How early does your band and crew arrive at the venue?

A: VERY EARLY! Our bands and crew arrive hours before your event is schedule to begin. We do this in order to allow us the time to set up and quality check all equipment.

Q: Does the band provide continuous entertainment?

A: YES! Groove Entertainment will provide continuous entertainment for the full booking of your event. Our bands do NOT put in a CD and take numerous breaks. We will always have musicians or vocalists on stage. When it comes time for dinner, bands will have either a guitarist or pianist play light background music as your guests enjoy their meal.
